pt. III

The return to Darwin!

Well, I'm back now, it's a bit odd to be honest, I'm still scrambling to gather all my shit together, Job prospects, University....Living with Mum haha.

From all that i can gather, i did excellent in the interview!
I'd spoken to my ACTU contact in Perth, Dave Garland (used to work at the CSA) and from what he said, I've come out pegged with another for the most impressive applicant.

That doesn't seem to be helping them make a decision on calling me or not, which is sending me 'round the bend.

Aside from that, I'm applying for the bridging course here in Darwin at CDU!
Unfortunately, my initial test results for the programme fit me in between the orientation and the preparation programmes.

Meaning I scored well above (over 90%) on the literacy aspect, but ranked only 12% on the numeracy side.

The woman who called me about the results is trying to get me to re-do the test, but honestly, my maths is crap, it's not going to get better.

I'm looking at a Batc. Arts in Asian Studies or a Dip. Languages, something that can take me away from this godforsaken country!
However, when browsing today, I saw a Bachelor in Humanitarian & Community Services, so that's always a possibility....

I'm off now, this stuff is good to get off the chest, but it's pretty stressful and depressing never the less :(
